Can anyone tell me information about Apple computers?

Breezey asked:
Are they worth the extra costs? I have been considering buying one (a desktop) for drafting purposes. I’ve had a few people tell me the Apple Imac would be great for this, but I don’t really know much about them. Also, I have a friend who is wanting to buy a first computer. Would this be a good computer for a first timer?

The mac version of office macs also come with ilife which is like the mac version of office macs are well worth it would be an excellent choice as first computer the imac comes bundled with ilife which includes itunes garageband idvd imovie iphoto they also come with demo version.
The IMAC is fabulous because I’ve worked on one. They are self-contained and come with all the added features and because of this I too wanted to purchase one.
I used the term “wanted” because after asking around and looking on the Internet, I found only a few IMAC approved dealers. Since everything is installed in the monitor including hard rive, modems, etc. the cost associated with repairing them can be costly.
However, if you are prepared for this then go for it. But as for me, I will stick with the towers.
