Regardless if the printer has two connections or not. Most printers I have dealt with will only recognize a single interface as being active. In your situation I would suggest setting the printer up on one of the machines then turn on "File and Print Sharing" I am assuming this is a windows machine. If you are running Linux or MAC then I know that is also possible, I just am not sure of the procedure. The draw back to having all printing done from one machine is that machine will need to remain powered up. I seriously doubt that you will both be able to physically connect to the printer.
