What do i need to run a network of 3 desktop computers in my house?

following things are needed
1) 3 LAN/NIC cards ( 100Mbps/1Gbps)
2) A network switch ( 100Mbps/1Gbps)
3) CAT5 cables and there connectors (RJ45 jacks)
