What is the usual price range of getting a computer wiped?

Our computer has been extremely slow. We know that it’s not our internet connection (as that is pretty fast when my sister’s laptop is hooked up too it), so we are 95% sure that if we get the hardrive wiped it should be back up to speed. The system we’re using is Windows XP on a Dell computer. It’s an older computer. What I would like to know is how much do you think it’d be to get it wiped and then to have the main programs put back onto it? Any suggestions for who should do it? Thank you.
